Robert “Bob” Leo Woody, 62, of Grand Rapids, passed away Fri, Jul 2, at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids. In 1947, Robert was born to Viola and RL Woody in Lawton, OK. He grew up in Warba, MN. He joined the United States Army in 1966 and honorably discharged in Aug 1972. In Dec 1969, Robert was married to Patricia Havens in Warba. They were married 40 wonderful years before his death. Robert worked in the mines until their closing, then went on to vocational school for welding. Robert worked at Electric Power Door in Hibbing, MN.

Robert was a very devoted and loving husband, father, brother, and son. Everyone who knew him loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father RL Woody, in 1966, his mother, Viola Woody in 2008, and his brother Don Woody in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Woody of Grand Rapids; five daughters, Angela (Chuck) Hawkinson, of Grand Rapids, Darcy (David) Hall of Grand Rapids, Roberta (Masum) Woody-Billah of Glendale, CA, Robin (Doran) Newton of Grand Rapids, and Sarah (Jim) Goltz of Fosston, MN; one son, Eddy (Ashley) Woody of Grand Rapids, 32 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Vickie Woody of Keewatin, Sandra (Bill) Dunn of Springdale, AR, and Lois (Tom) Buzay of St. Paul, MN; one brother, Les Woody of Forest Lake, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thu, Jul 8, 2010, 11am, the noon funeral service in Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids. Rev. Ron Lichtle will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Warba-Feeley Cemetery, Warba. A luncheon will follow the cemetery service in the River of Life Church.
