Robert Lee Bennett, 80, of Kalkaska died on Tue, Oct 25, 2005, at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born on May 6, 1925, in Defiance, OH, the son of Jacob and Mary (Mowery) Bennett.
Robert, a WWII veteran, loved to spend time with his family and the children of his wife's daycare. He enjoyed gardening and being in the outdoors of northern Michigan.
On Nov 1, 1977, in Harrison, Robert married Judy Abbey who survives him.
Also surviving are his son, Robert Bennett of Memphis, TN; four daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Kluck of Boyne City, Vickie Munoz of Huntington Beach, CA, Kathy (David) Theisen of Livonia, and Kari Bennett of Kalkaska; three grandchildren, Jenny, Gary Lee, and Mark; one great grandson, Daniel; and a sister, Agnes Lamphear of Canton.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, John, Victor, Gary, Rex, Carl, and Ray; and four sisters, Beulah Nagy, Edna Bechtel, Ann Kimberly, and Gladys Bennett.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
