Heaven received another angel, as Robert Gustav Bergholtz went into the arms of his creator on Jul 15, 2009.
Robert was born Oct 1, 1945, at his parents' home in Madison Heights.
After serving his country, he was honorably discharged from the US Army.
Robert has lived in Mancelona for almost 30 years.
He is survived by his son, Robert Girard; his daughter, Tina Marie Bergholtz Redmond; his stepson, John Champion and stepdaughter, Chantal Breitfeld. Robert is also survived by two brothers and two sisters - Paul (Priscilla) Bergholtz and Elin B (Richard) Tommas, of Michigan; Barbara (Kurt) Page of AZ and James Bergholtz of NY.
In addition, Robert is survived by his grandson, Nicholas Shafer, and many nieces and nephews - who will all miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L and Gulli M Bergholtz; his sister, Beverly Dials; his brother, George Bergholtz and his ex wife, Beverly (Champion) Bergholtz.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
