Mrs. Rita E. Locke, 78, of Kalkaska died Thu, Apr 18, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Locke moved to Kalkaska two years ago from New Baltimore. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Automatic Specialties in New Baltimore. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska, and enjoyed crocheting.
Born in New Baltimore on Jun 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Julius and Elizabeth (Rabine) Strauch. On Nov 21, 1934, in New Baltimore, she married William Locke who preceded her in death on Mar 11, 1994.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Toots) Burkhart of Kalkaska; one brother, Floyd (Gene) Strauch of New Baltimore; one brother in law, Carl Locke of New Baltimore; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Roy and James, and three sisters, Frances, Myrtle, and Elizabeth preceded her in death.
