Richard L. Allen, 78 of Traverse City, passed away Thu, Jul 7, 2011 at Bortz Health Care of Traverse City.
Richard was born on Jun 10, 1933 in Kalkaska to the late George and Lura (Fryhover) Allen. He grew up in Kalkaska and eventually moved to Traverse City, where he worked at Munson Medical Center for 42 years and then retired.
Richard always enjoyed golfing and hunting with his brothers.
He is survived by his four sisters: Lela Patton, Freda Manes, Flossie Manley-Moon, and Vivian Schichtel; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation was held on Sun, Jul 10. A funeral service for Richard was held at 10 am Mon, Jul 11 with visitation one hour prior at Kalkaska Funeral Home. Burial followed at Kalkaska Evergreen Cemetery.
