Richard James Alberts, 22, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Kalkaska, died suddenly Nov. 24 in Tucson.
He was employed as an auto mechanic in Tucson.
Born May 9, 1967, in Ann Arbor, he was the son of Robert and Hazel (Lear) Alberts of Kalkaska, who survive.
Also surviving are a brother, Robert "Bob" Alberts of Kalkaska; a sister, Susan Alberts of Kalkaska; his paternal grandmother, Alice Alberts of Kalkaska; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held Dec. 1 at the Arizona Mortuary in Tucson. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Kalkaska. The Rev. Dick Riley will officiate. Arrangements were handled by the Arizona Mortuary in Tucson.
