Richard Herman Blair, 74, of Las Creces, Dona Ann, NM, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN died October 25, 2002 at home. He was born on December 7, 1927 in Fort Wayne, the son of Clarence S Blair and the former Dorothy Lillian Hitzeman.
He married the former Beverly Joanne Garrison on April 22, 1950. He was retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, and his parents.
Surviving are 8 children, Cynthia Carlo of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Blair and Scott Blair, both of Las Cruces, Michael Blair, Tereasa Blair, and Kent Blair, all of Fort Wayne, Craig Blair of Kendallville, IN, and Kelly McAllister of Decatur, IN; a brother, Robert of Las Cruces; a sister, Dorothy Jones of Fort Wayne; 20 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on November 23 at the Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Foundation.
