Richard A Bissett, 88, of Fife Lake passed away on Thu, Jul 7, 2005, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-Long Term Care. 

Born on Sep 16, 1916 in Flynn Township in Sanilac County, he was the son of the late Archibald and Bessie (Strickler) Bissett. 

Richard married Erma Foster Webb in Lake City. Together they moved to Fife Lake in 1948 from Port Huron. 

Richard was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He farmed in the Fife Lake area for 40 years and was also a truck driver for Bissett Excavating. Richard was a member of the South Boardman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. 

Richard is survived by his nieces and nephews, Marilyn (Eugene) Munro of Fife Lake, Charlotte (Adrian) Kippen of South Boardman, Joyce Custer of Kalkaska, Nelda Roller of Ft Wayne, IN, Wayne (Carol) Bissett of South Boardman; and brother in law, Charles K Davis of South Boardman.

Preceding Richard in death was his wife, Erma; and his niece, Linda Sundling. 

The funeral service will be held on Mon, Jul 11, at 11 am at Wolfe Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lodi Cemetery.
