Ray E. Miller, 64, of Interlochen passed away on Thu, Aug 31, 2006, at his home.
Born on Oct 10, 1942 in South Boardman, he was the son of the late Lee and Emma (Hoppe) Miller.
Ray was a veteran serving our country in the US Army. He was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska and Grand Traverse counties.
Ray was a truck driver until retirement. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, camping, and metal work. Ray loved his family and grandchildren.
He was a member of the VFW Post No 8684 in Kalkaska and the Eagles in Interlochen.
Surviving Ray are his children, Steven R (Tracie) Miller, Luke (Susan) Miller, and Lena Thompson, all of South Boardman; step children, Todd Lewis and Melanie Sanborn of Traverse City; and Shane Lewis of IN; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; siblings, Glen Miller and Sandi Hall of South Boardman, Ivan Miller of IN, Karen McNamara of Kalkaska, Christine Doval of AK, Russell Young of Monroe, Gary Young of Lapeer, and William Young of Pontiac.
Preceding Ray in death was his daughter, Linda Marie Miller; and his sister, Janet Klann.
A memorial service honoring Ray's life was set for Wed, Sep 6, at 2 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The VFW Post No 8684 and the Beebe Sherwood Post No 480 will be providing military honors. Burial will be at Boardman Township Cemetery.
