Philomena J. Moon, 81, of Belding died Sat, Oct 5, 2013 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born on Jan 18, 1932 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of Antonio and Luccia (Martucci) Ciccariello.
Philomena enjoyed bingo, an occasional trip to the casino, crocheting, and travel. She really enjoyed the trips back east and out west to visit family. She was an excellent homemaker, a good cook, and had a good sense of humor. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
She was married on Dec 8, 1951 in Staten Island to Bernard Moon and he preceded her on Jul 29, 1996. She was also preceded by her parents, a stepmother, Maria; two sisters, Mary and Josephine; and one brother, John.
Philomena is loved and survived by her children, Ann Marie and Bryan Haney, Patricia and Randy Loveland all of Belding, Paul and Betty Jo Moon of Orleans, Barbara and Randy Cook of Sebring, FL, George Moon of Greenville; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grand children; her brothers and sisters, Rose Acquafredda of NY, Jean Terlizzi of FL, Paul Ciccariello, and Anthony Ciccareiello both of NJ.
Funeral services will be 11am Wed at Johnson-Fueerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor William Overton of Family Life Center Church of God officiating.
Private committal prayers will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be Tue from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Belding Emergency Fun or the Belding Food Pantry.
