Penelope "Penny" M. DeGraw, 46, of Kalkaska passed away on Aug 22, 2011 at Munson Medical Center. She was born Sep 10, 1964 in Traverse City to Jim and Phyllis Gauthier.
Penny grew up on West Bay in Traverse City. She graduated from Suttons Bay High School. Penny moved from Traverse City to Kalkaska in 1991.
Penny had an extreme love for animals. When she was not busy taking care of her three dogs adn two cats, she would be feeding stray cats and the occasional fox.
Penny is survived by her loving husband of eight years, Bruce DeGraw; three daughters, Heather (Zack) Sherman of NC, Kimberly Laukhart of Alden, and Christin Laukhart of Kalkaska. She is also survived by her parents, Jim and Phyllis Gauthier of Traverse City; adn two brothers, Duane Gauthier of Interlochen and Darwin (Lori) Gauthier of Lake Ann.
Penny will be loved and missed by everyone who knew her. Please take comfort in knowing that she is with our Savior Jesus Christ. We all miss you deeply, Penny. Words cannot explain how much love Penny had to give. She was always the sunshine on a cloudy day.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
