Pauline A. Eckstein, 68, of Fife Lake, died on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Paulien was born in Burington, Wis., on Oct 12, 1939, the daughter of Ernest A. and Lucy H (Sagert) Umnus.
She married Lamar J. Eckstein on Nov 12, 1960, in Reno, Nev. Pauline and Lamar enjoyed farming, raising chickens and selling brown eggs.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lamar J. Eckstein Sr; her children, Lamar J (Pat Railey) Eckstein Jr of Shelbyville, Tenn., Sandra Eckstein of Osceola, Wis., Brenda Egan of North Brant, Minn., Michael L. (Janice) Eckstein Sr. of Traverse City, Cheryl (Ronald E) Slagoski of Lady Smith, Wis., and Larry (Gail) Scharger of Kenosha, Wis; her grandchildren, leroy J. Brackmann Jr, Kaye Egan, Dessie Egan, Nick Egan, Michael L. Eckstein Jr, Kristina Ann Eckstein, Eric H. Eckstein, Thomas J. Richard Jr, William B. Richard and Christina A. Richard; special friends, LaVerle I. Brunke and Geraldine Acre of Manitowoc, Wis; four brothers; two sisters; two sisters in law, Pauline Brown of Traverse City and Kathline Coyne of Elk Rapids; nephew, Lonnie Coyne of Elk Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. from the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov 12, 2007, at 1 p.m., also from the funeral home, with visitation from 11 a.m.
Burial will take place in Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake.
Memorials may be given in Pauline’s name to the American Cancer Society.
