Paul Sanders, 82, of Hubbard Lake, died Saturday evening, Jun 3, 1995, at Greenview Nursing Home in Alpena.
Mr. Sanders was born Sep 1, 1912 in Cambell, MO. He married Audrey Oliver Monroe Dec 22, 1937 in Flint. She preceded him in death in 1977. He moved to the Hubbard Lake area in 1965 where he was employed with Gilliland Construction Co until his retirement in 1980. He married Kathleen Schloff Barkley Jul 13, 1984 in Lachine.
He was a member of Kalkaska Odd Fellows, Operating Engineers and was an avid bowler.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters: Pauline (Norman) Salenski of Kalkaska, Janet (Ronald) Wood of Rapid City; two sons, Jerry Monroe of Hubbard Lake and Chuck Sanders of SD; one step daughter Carolyn Barkley of Hubbard Lake; two step sons, Robert Barkley and James Barkley of Lincoln; 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
One grandson, Jeffery, preceded him in death.
Services were held Tue, Jun 6, 1995 at Hubbard Lake United Methodist Church. Rev. Fred Neuman officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
