Orville Keaton, 73, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Sep 11, 1994, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. 

Mr. Keaton moved to Kalkaska County 29 years ago from Mancelona. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he had been employed by Dura Mechanical in Mancelona. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII, and was a member of Land O'Lakes Post 8684 V.F.W. and St. Paul Lutheran Church. 

Born in Traverse City on Mar 25, 1921, he was the son of Oscar and Lena Strait Keaton. On Jun 24, 1965, in Kalkaska, he was married to Joanne (Dodie) Richardson who survives. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Roper of Lansing and Samantha Keaton of CA; three sisters, Lillian Weaver of Traverse City, Rose Barclay of Big Rapids, and Lena Atwater of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Alfred, Otto, Carl, Lawrence, and Irvill; and one sister, Grace. 

Funeral services was held at 11 am Wed, Sep 14, 1994, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska, under the auspice of Land O'Lakes Post 8684, V.F.W. 

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
