Oralia “Lala” Gomez Rodriquez, age 79 of Fife Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born to the late, Ignacio and Carolina Gomez in Uvalde, TX.
She married Eliseo T. Rodriguez in Uvalde, TX on February 14, 1964, they were married for 60 years. Lala was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, she had a heart of gold. She taught her children how to work hard and love unconditionally. Lala enjoyed cooking, baking, going to garage sales, Goodwill and antiques. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eliseo T. Rodriguez; eight children, Eliseo Rodriguez Jr, Vernoica Rodirguez, Richard (Tamara) Rodriguez, Alberto (Tammy) Rodriguez, Ramiro (Trina) Rodriguez, Jaime Rodriguez, Rachel (Dewane) Oestman, and Adam (Jessica) Rodriquez; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Jose (Linda) Gomez, and Arturo (Maria) Gomez.
She was preceded in passing by Juan Gomez and Raul Gomez.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home, at 12:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake.
Memorial may be made to Munson Hospice.
