Oliver Maney, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sat, Mar 2, 2013 at McLaren Central Michigan. Dave was the son of Rolland and Daisy Maney.
Dave has been a resident of the Mt. Pleasant area since 1941. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.
In Sept 1946, he married Clara Claudia Elliott in Mt. Pleasant. Dave worked for the C & O Railroad as a clerk dispatcher retiring in 1979.
He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid golfer. Dave loved Tiger baseball, his motorcycle, and his family.
Davie is survivied by his wife, Claudia Maney of Mt. Pleasant; five sons, David (Toni) Maney of Riverdale, Bruce Maney, Donald Maney, Chuck (Hannah) Maney, and Joe (Shelley) Maney all of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Sue (Jeff) Jones of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral services for Dave were held on Tue, Mar 5, 2013 from the Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
