Norman O. Moyer, Sr., 80, of Kalkaska died Sunday morning, July 1, 1990, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
Mr. Moyer moved to Kalkaska County in 1928 from Columbus, Ohio. He was employed by Bear Archery in Grayling prior to his retirement in 1970. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Moyer was born in Kent, Ohio in Dec. 10, 1909, to Cloyd and Adelia Eckerson Moyer. On Nov. 3, 1931, in Kalkaska County he was married to Louise Rambo. She preceded him in death in 1977.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Moyer, Jr. of Kalkaska, and Robert Moyer of Grayson, Georgia; one daughter, Carole Ornatowski of Rapid River; one sister, Bonita Barbee of Gaylord; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Kenneth and Bernard, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Daniel Davis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
