Nelson E. Bauer, 80, of Beaverton, died Thu, Jun 9, 1994, at Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center – Midland.
Born in Zilwakee, Apr 23, 1914, he married the former Georgia Wheatley in 1939. She died in 1987, He married Effie (Foote) Wright in 1987 in Beaverton.
He was a member of Local 85 U.A. and a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaverton.
Survivors include his wife; 3 daughters, Dorothy and husband Victor Finch of Midland, Jean and husband Robin Reeves of Fort Scott, KS, and Barbara and husband Patrick Wasalaski of Ashland, NE; 2 stepsons, Lee and wife Sharlene Wright and Brian Wright, both of Saginaw; 2 stepdaughters, Seva Swan and Lynne and husband Robert Mathis, both of Saginaw; one brother, Albert and wife Helen Bauer of Zilwaukee; one sister, Doris and husband Bud Bell of Zilwaukee; 12 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lester and James; and one sister, Jane Foco.
Rites were held Sat at 11am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaverton. The Rev. Michael J. Zuberbier officiated, and burial was held in Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw. Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
