Nellie E. Graydon, 88, of Kalkaska, passed away on January 4, 2009 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Born on July 19, 1920 in Kalkaska, she is the daughter of the late Jesse and Lizzie (Johnson) Rosenberg.
Nellie was a high school graduate in 1938. She married her sweetheart, Eroll Graydon on March 28, 1941 Kalkaska. Together they owned the Graydon Service Station for 37 years. Nellie enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Nellie was a life member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ.
Surviving Nellie is her son, John Graydon of Kalkaska; her grandchildren, Don Graydon of Kalkaska and Katie Graydon of Interlochen.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Eroll on 12/30/08; her daughter, Dawn Christine Foust; and all of her siblings, Winnie Wesel, Mildred Wells, Carter Rosenberg, Sarah Stuck, Clair Rosenberg, Ellen Hall, Esther Sakstrup and Lois Parker.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7th from 3:00 until 8:00 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery.
