Nellie B. Haviland, 89, of Kalkaska passed away peacefully on Jun 30, 2003, in Cedar Springs. She was born Nov 12, 1913, in Cedar Run to Thomas and Jennie (McDonald) Moorman.
Nellie married Lee Haviland on Feb 15, 1935, in Flint and he preceded her in death. She was a resident of Kalkaska since 1947 and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church. She was also a past village treasurer.
Nellie is survived by her children, Don (Ann) Haviland of Rockford, Betty (Robert) Thorington of Cedar Springs, Mary Ellen (Art) Jankowski of Flint and Virginia Dukes of Nashville, TN; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Visitation was held for family and friends on Wed, Jul 2, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The Rev. Ted Turanski of St Paul Lutheran Church officiated. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be given on behalf of Nellie to the Kalkaska County Commission on Aging, 303 S. Coral St, Kalkaska, MI 49646.
