Nelle L. Belford, 95, of Kalkaska, formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, June 26, 1990 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
She had retired in 1960 from the Flint Public Schools where she taught elementary education for many years. She received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and masters in education from the University of Michigan.
She was a member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church.
She was born Sept 15, 1894 in Bellaire, the daughter of Harold and Ellen (Niblock) Belford.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 28, at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire. The Rev. David Cheyne officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements were made by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
