Neil A. Norton, 67, died Oct 6, 1997, at his residence in Bear Lake Township, Kalkaska County.
Mr. Norton was born Apr 12, 1930, in Stockbridge, to Alba and Hulda (Fall) Norton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic and retired from Kalkaska Public Transit System.
He is survived by his wife Barbara J (Richmond) Norton; three sons and six daughters; Nadine and Perry Wells of Kalkaska, Dennis Norton of Haslett, John and Joellen Olin of Ovid, Jackie and Mike Botsford of Haslett, Sherry Hamrah of Chicago, IL, Kay Christensen of Albuquerque, NM, Barbara and Tim Michaels of Williamston, Pamela and Ed Brandt of Laingsberg and Gary Olin of Haslett; his mother Hulda Norton of Okemos; brother Donald (Pat) Norton of Williamston; sisters Lavonne (Harold) Corser of Perry, Joyce (Francis) Call of Fowlerville and Priscilla (Winston) Bennett of Haslett; 26 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Oct 10 at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel in Grayling. Officiating was done by family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amicare Hospice in Grayling.
