Myrtle Celestia Anthony, age 85, of Sand Lake, passed away Sat, Jul 20, 1996 at the Greenville Care Center.
She was born Apr 21, 1911 to Edwin and Celestia Mable Johnson Wagenschutz of Kalkaska. She married Henry Taylor Anthony on May 31, 1930, who preceded her in death Aug 25, 1975. She moved from Traverse City to Sand Lake in 1979. She worked in the Hanna Nursing Home at Bates and the Traverse City Medical Center as a nurse's aid.
Surviving are her children: Robert and Emily Anthony of New Castle, DE, Janna Mae and Richard Penny of Macomb, Betty Lou and William Seabolt of Sand Lake, Dorothy June and Donald Robbins of Mancelona, and George Henry and Io Anthony of Sand Lake; one brother Fred; sisters Minnie Mable, Dorothy and Thelma all of Kalkaska; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Bliss-Earl Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, and graveside Memorial at Evergreen Cemetery, in Kalkaska.
