Murray Arthur Johnston, 90, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord Thu, Oct 1, 2015 following a heart attack. 

He was born Oct 10, 1924 in Croswell to the late Arthur and Jennie Johnston. He married June M Hogren on Oct 27, 1951 in Port Sanilac. She died Jan 7, 2008. 

Mr. Johnston was employed with Canteen Vending Company prior to his retirement. He was a long time member, Elder and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church. Murray was very involved with Free Masonry and was a Life Member in all the Masonic Organizations he was involved with including, Croswell Lodge #469 F & AM, Huron Chapter #27 Royal Arch Masons, Port Huron Commandery #7 Knights Templar and High Twelve. He served in the US Army during WWII. 

He is survived by two children, Annette Johnston and Thomas (Wendy) Johnston; three grandchildren, David and William Johnston, and Emily (Matthew) Skowron; a great grandson, Joseph James Skowron; two sisters, Kathern McNaughton and Betty Schwarzentraub; several nieces and nephews; his church family; and many special friends. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Sun and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Mon in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 7 pm Mon in the funeral home. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tue, Oct 6, 2015 in First Presbyterian Church, 811 Wall Street, Port Huron. The Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the US Army. 

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
