Mrs. Muriel Guyot Long, 92, of Traverse City, died Thu, Mar 13, 1997, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. 

Mrs. Long was a former resident of South Boardman, and had lived in Traverse City for the past 19 years. She was a member of the South Boardman American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was affiliated with the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Long was born in Shelbyville, KY on Jun 1, 1904. On Jun 4, 1942, in Fife Lake, she married Cecil Long who preceded her in death on Oct 27, 1978. 

Surviving are son Robert B. Guyot, St of Traverse City; daughter Jean Byers of Grand Rapids; sister Ruth Shouse of Lawrenceburg, KY; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 

A son Lloyd; and sisters Virginia and Grace preceded her in death. 

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial will be in Boardman Township Cemetery in the spring.
