Mrs. Minnie Borgen, 90, of Fife Lake, died Sun, Mar 19, 1995, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Borgen had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and enjoyed tatting and knitting.
Born in Kalkaska County on Dec 19, 1904, she was the daughter of William and Hannah Bell Ludlow. On May 25, 1931, in Kalkaska County, she married Richard Borgen who preceded her in death on Jan 14, 1965.
Surviving are four sons: Dickie and Doyle both of Fife Lake and Charles and Kenneth both of Kalkaska; four daughters, Rolene Holt of Cathedral City, CA, Mary Leu of Erie, PA, and Ursal Clay and Josie Clay both of Fife Lake; one step son, John Borgen of Round Lake Beach, IL; one step daughter, Goldie Aho of Ontonagon; one sister in law, Marjorie Autio of South Boardman; 24 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Three children, Franklin, Richard, and Norman preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wed, Mar 22, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Charles VanLente, pastor of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
