Mrs. Mina E. Gabel, 79, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Nov 27, 1994 at Traverse City Community Hospital.
Mrs. Gabel had been a lifelong resident of the Rapid City and Kalkaska area.
Born in Leelanau County on Dec 14, 1914, she was the daughter of Harry and Bertha Peters Peck. On Oct 22, 1943, in Muskegon, she married John Gabel who preceded her in death on Dec 31, 1977.
Surviving are two sisters, Hazel Gee of Alden and Margaret Bargy of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Harry Peck of Alden; one stepson, Larry (Lee) Gabel of Salem, OR; two step grandaughters, Willena Nistico and her family, Anthony and Vincent of Salem, OR; and Minga (ted) Dotson and their children, Serenia, Keturah and Noe of Fresno, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Howard, George, and Warren and one stepson John Jr, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Wed, Nov 30, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was sin Clearwater Twp. Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
