A native of Kalkaska County, Mike passed away Aug 6, 1996 leaving a wife, five children, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Turk retired from the Michigan State Department of Transportation in 1975. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and as a member of the 95th Red Diamond Division, Red Ball Express, was a WWII Veteran and a recipient of a Purple Heart. A private family service was held Aug 10. Any memorials may be made to the Jerry Lewis Telethon, Salvation Army or the American Lung Association.
