Michael D Send, of Gaylord and formerly of South Boardman, passed away suddenly on Aug 18, 2005, at his home.
Born on Jun 12, 1956, in Traverse City, he was the son of Arthur and Florence (Laming) Send.
Michael graduated from Traverse City Senior High School. He was employed by Ward Lake Energy since 1999 and prior to that Amoco Oil.
Michael enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycles, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge Post No 2348 of Kalkaska. Michael was the "life of the party" and his laugh will be missed by all.
Michael is survived by his children, Michele (Scott) McDowell of Kalkaska and Natasha (John) Rogers of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Gabriel, Sean, Jordan, Mariah, and Baby McDowell; parents, Arthur and Florence Send of Williamsburg; siblings, Rose (Gary) Hanna of Williamsburg, Gloria (John) Hamelund of Big Rapids, Pamela (Robert) Lewis of Williamsburg, David (Diane) Send of South Boardman, Gregory (Jill) Send of Williamsburg, Mary (George) Drogt of Kewadin, Jeffery (Sandy) Send, Eric (Donna) Send, Mark (Tara) Send, and Martin (Jeanie) Send, all of Williamsburg; mother of his children and dear friend, Lisa (Brendt) Bell; siblings of Michele and Natasha, Heidi and Zac Bell; numerous nieces and nephews; and one great niece.
Visitation was scheduled for Mon, Aug 22 from 2 to 9 pm at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service was set for Tue, Aug 23, at 11 am at the funeral home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
