Merry Sue Van Vuuren (Battenfield), aged 62, of Byron Center was called home unexpectedly by her Lord and Savior on Sun, Apr 16, 2006, and has joined her parents, Glenn and Lila Battenfield in Heaven. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Larry; sons, Jeffery (Kristen) VanVuuren and Steven (Brandee) VanVuuren; grandchildren, Devin, Danyon, Jacob, Audrey, and Casey; sister, Gail (Dennis Zartman; brothers, John (Aleshia) Battenfield and Scott Battenfield; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Thu, Apr 20, 2006 at the Stroo Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Baukema Sr officiating. Interment in Floral View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans where Merry Sue volunteered of her time.
