Merle M Eves, 76, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, died Sun, Jun 3, 2001, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit.
Mr. Eves was born in South Boardman on Apr 20, 1925, son of the late William and Lura Dagle Eves. He married Virginia Love in Fife Lake on Sep 1, 1956.
He had been a farmer and worked in a saw mill prior to his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, wood carving and especially his family.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; sons, Mark Eves of Kalkaska and Tim Eves of South Boardman; daughters, Vickie Teron of Kingsley, Laura Killingsworth of South Boardman, Susan DuPue of Webberville, and loretta Eves of Grandville; 17 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
One brother Marvin and sisters, Ione Theodorski, Irene Lund, and Bernice VanWormer, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Jun 7 at Boardman Township Cemetery; Rev William Kuiper will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made for the wishes of the family.
