Max W. Clapsaddle, age 91, of Mayville and formerly of Brown City, died Sep 24, 2019. He was born to Victor “Bud” and Vivian Clapsaddle on Jan 31, 1928. Max served in the U.S. Air Force. Max and Lois V. Olson were married on Apr 17, 1946 in the original North Goodland Church.
Max retired after 23 years at the Romeo Test Track where he was a driver mechanic engineer. He had also worked as a carpenter, cemetery sextant and in earlier years on an oil rig. He was a 32 Degree Maser Mason and had been a long time member of the Omard United Methodist Church.
He is survived by 4 children: Linda Bartle, Brent Clapsaddle, Lori (Richard) Quandt, and Renee (Duane) Dewey. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Max was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, a sister, Udeen Swain and a son in law Leland Bartle.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Oct 5, 2019 at the Omard United Methodist Church with a gathering time starting at 11 am.
