Maurice C. DeRonne, 79, of Kalkaska died Monday, July 2, 1990 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. DeRonne had been a resident of Big Twin Lake for 20 years following his retirement. He had been employed in Detroit as a truck driver with Buchi and Son Trucking.
He was born on March 11, 1911 in Ghent, Belgium to Gustave and Maria (Glorieux) DeRonne. At the age of eight he came to New York and later moved to Detroit, where he was raised and employed.
He was a member of the Mancelona Lodge 375, F. & A.M., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council Chapter Consistery, Valley of Detroit, and the Moslem Temple.
He was married May 28, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Vida Provost, and she survives.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Scott DeRonne of Mt. Clemens and Mark DeRonne of Warren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sons Robert in 1969.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 5, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Rev. Timothy Graham officiating. Cremation followed the services.
A Masonic Memorial service was held July 4, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona under the auspices of the Mancelona Lodge 375 F. & A.M.
