Mary Love, 99, born in Bronx, NY and a resident of Shrub Oak, NY, died peacefully on Jul 22, 2011. She is survived by her children, Arnold, Albert (Barbara), Joanne Rhoads (Dan), Katherine Quinn (Don), and Marion Greene (Eamon). She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bud Love and brothers, Arnold and Christopher. Mary was a devoted grandmother to Morgan Love (Peter), Jonathan and Sarah Rhoads, Laruen Hocker (Dan), Jaclyn, Diane, and Michael Quinn, Megan and Kristen Greene and great grandmother to Sophie, Phoenix and Caroline. She is also survived by her nieces, Noeline Telesca, Martha Raines and nephew Christopher Raines and several great nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Mary will be remembered as a women of great strength and determination who had a fierce loyalty and love for her family. A person with a very strong work ethic, she appreciated hard work and respected people for it. Her most memorable moments were spent around a family dinner table, enjoying a good cup of coffee and reminiscing. When asked, she readily gave advice on work, love, and other life issues. Much of her time was spent writing beautiful, heartfelt letters to family and friends. She will be missed but her memory will live on in the countless number of stories to share about her. Mary was a devout Catholic and parishioner of ST. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Shrub Oak, NY. She volunteered for Support Connection, helping with administrative tasks for the Annual Support-A-Walk for breast and ovarian cancer.

Visitation will be held at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 East Main St, Shrub Oak on Mon, Aug 1, 2011 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Elizbeth Ann Seton Church, 1377 East Main St, Shrub Oak, NY on Tue, Aug 2, 2011 at 11 am. Interment will be next to her dear husband. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Support Connection, 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
