Mrs. Mary Jane Thibodeau, 75, of Marine City, died Wed, Oct 3, 2001.
She was born Feb 17, 1926, in Lafayette, IN to the late Matthew and Lena (Shedrow) Schmidt. She married Richard C. Thibodeau Feb 3, 1945, in Mt Clemens. He died Nov 12, 1989.
Mrs. Thibodeau worked for Algonac Schools in the Foster Grandparent program. She enjoyed working with children and liked to crochet. She attended St. Catherine Catholic Church in Algonac.
She is survived by sons Ralph (Linda) Thibodeau of Marysville, and Richar (Nancy) Thibodeau of Flint; daughter Patricia (Dino) D'Asaro of Fountain; grandchildren Jodie Jackson, and Michael and Christopher Thibodeau and Dino, Angelo, and Frank D'Asaro; great grandchildren, Christiana and Colin Jackson; sisters, Helen Bishop of Emmet and Frances (Leland) Trainor of Utica; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by grandson Richard Paul Currie and brother, James Schmidt.
A Rosary was recited at 7:30pm Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass was at 10 am Sat, Oct 6 in St Christopher Catholic Church in Marysville; Father Arthur Barnowski officiated.
The Rite of Committal was Mon, Oct 8 in Chapman Cemetery, Mancelona.
