Mary Ellen Bellinger passed away peacefully on Mon, Dec 8, 2008, at her home in Kalkaska. Born on Sep 2, 1946, she is the daughter of Frank and Norma (Strickfaden) Delp.
Mary married David Bellinger on May 10, 1985, in Wymoing. She worked for many years at Bunker Hill Restaurant, which was owned by her sister, Sonne. In 1998, she moved from Wyoming to Kalkaska. Mary Ellen enjoyed playing cards with her friends, cooking, and her family.
Mary is survived by her husband David; her children, Wendy (Tom) Young of Ada, Dianna (Pete) Beaudoin of Dorr, Tony (Joy) Berens of Pine City, MN, and Roger Berens; her step children, Mark (Deb) Bellinger of Ada, Susie (Larry) Gephart of Rockford and Scott (Shan) Bellinger of Grand Rapids; the father of her children, Roger M. Berens of Dorr; her mother, Norma Schipper, of Dorr; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her siblings, Barbara (George) Ash of Wyoming, Diana Delp of Grand Haven, Tom (Kathy) Delp of Howard City, Sonne (Mark) Brenner of Dorr; her special friends from Weight Watchers, Bonnie Hoenicke, and Jackie Siegrist, and many others too numerous to mention.
Very special thanks are offered to her dear friends Terry and Sally Genther, who supported both Mary and Dave throughout her illness.
Preceding Mary in death were her father; her grandsons, Peter John "PJ" Beaudoin, Jay Gephart and her brother, Jerry Delp.
Cremation has taken place per Mary's wishes. A celebration of her life service will be held on Mar 28 at 11 am at Burnips Wesleyan Church in Burnips, MI.
