Mary D. "Molly" Steinecker, 90, of Kalkaska passed away on Oct 5, 2005, at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Born on Nov 11, 1914, in Highland Park, she was the daughter of Guy and Maggie (Wilson) Floro.
Molly married Edward Steinecker, who preceded her in death in 1991. Molly enjoyed life and spending time at the lake. She learned to water ski when she was 65.
Molly was a resident of Kalkaska since 1971, moving from Detroit.
Surviving Milly are her children, William Steinecker of Vandalia, Norma (Guilio) Fini of Dearborn Heights and Darlene (Frank) Schumacher of Brighton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her sister, Peggy (Fred) Dow of Berkley.
Molly was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Kenneth Carrier; and a daughter, Margaret Steinecker.
Funeral services were held on Oct 7 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Barrand officiating. Burial was at Coldsprings Township Cemetery.
