Mary Carolyn Burgess, 70, of Fife Lake, died Sat, Jun 24, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Burgess had resided in Kalkaska County since 1972. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities.
She was born in Huntington Park, CA, the daughter of William and Lillian Wright Ellis. She married James Burgess on Jun 10, 1967, in Winter Haven, CA.
Surviving are husband James; daughters Carol (Gary) Yale of AZ and Gail (Steve) Fritz of Traverse City; son Paul (Shawn) Leaf of Williamsburg; sisters Morene Wolfswinkel of AZ and Carene Scheif of CA; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jun 27 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor John Clark officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
