Martin J. Swikoski, 18, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Sep 4, 1993, near St. Ignace.
Martin moved to Kalkaska 16 years ago from Gladwin, and was a 1993 graduate of Kalkaska High School. At the time of his death, he was employed by Grof Contracting Company. He enjoyed playing hockey, hunting, fishing, snow boarding, and water skiing.
Martin was born in Midland on Mar 24, 1975 to James and Nona Bard Swikoski.
Surviving are his mother, Nona; one brother, Clayton at home; two sisters, Mrs. Steve (Allison) Hartzell and Mrs. Nichole Miller both of Kalkaska; his paternal grandmother, Loretta Swikorski of Mancelona; his maternal grandmother, Juanita Bard of Gladwin; two nieces, one nephew, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Swikowski and Harlen D. Bard.
Funeral services will be held Wed, Sep 15, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Henry List will officiate. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery.
