Marshall J. (Skip) Long, 46, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Mar 11, 1995, at Munson Medical Center. 

Mr. Long spent his early years in Kalkaska County and attended Kalkaska High school. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, and returned to Kalkaska 20 years ago. 

Born in Sault Ste Marie on Apr 20, 1948, he was the son of Clarence and Virginia Tebo Long. he is survived by one son, Tony of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Tina Cortes and Barbara both o Colorado Springs, CO; his parents, Clarence and Virginia Long of Kalkaska; two brothers, Dale Long of CT, and Leslie Long of Kalkaska; four sisters, Marcia Tracey, Leanna Long, and Wanda Baggs all of Kalkaska, and Charlotte Fisher of Brooklyn, MI; his paternal grandmothers, Mary Sherwood and Beatrice Long both of Kalkaska; two grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Funeral services were held at 1 pm Wed, Mar 15, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Father Patrickk J Barrett, pastor of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery in the spring.
