Marlin was born on Aug 3, 1933 in Bucyrus, MO, the son of Howard and Christine James, and passed away on Mar 27, 2015.
Sonny’s family and friends were most important to him.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed wildlife. He was a friend who was always willing to help out anyone at any time.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Irene James; and sisters, Marion Wallace and Jeanne Mitchell. He is survived by sons, Steven Marlin (Linda) James, Jeffrey Jon James, and Joshua Loyal (Khris) James; grandchildren, Dustin, Haley, Heather, Jacob, Mandy, Zach, and Lindsey; brother, John (Aida) James; sisters, Margaret Owens, Patsy Closson, Sherry (Dan) Gordon, Linda (Gene) Hobart; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sat, Apr 11 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt. Family will receive friends from 11am until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
