Marion L. (Wesel) Peterson, 69, of Jacksonville, FL, died Jun 22, 2000.
Mrs. Peterson was born in Chicago, IL, Jun 4, 1931 to Ernie and Winnie (Rosenberg) Wesel. When she was 4 years old the family moved to Kalkaska County. She graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1949.
On May 28, 1950, in South Boardman, she married Wendell Peterson, who survives.
She lived the past 14 years in Jacksonville, having moved from Huntington, WV. She attended the Lutheran Church and was a member of the garden club in Jacksonville.
Besides her husband she is survived by sons Gary (Terry) Peterson of Richmond Hills, GA, and Mike (Kathy) Peterson of Ona, WV; grandchildren Steven Peterson of WV, Emily and Andy Peterson of Georgia; brothers Gordon Wesel of FL, and Robert Wesel of CA; aunt Nellie (Erroll) Graydon of Kalkaska; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was Jun 28 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska Jun 28, 2000. Her cousin, Pastor David Rosenberg, and nephew, Major Dennis Krumlauf, a chaplain in the U.S. Army, officiated.
Interment will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery at a later date.
