Marinda L. Matkins was born at Seneca Falls, Seneca County, NY, February 23, 1865, where she resided until the year 1884, after which she came to Morenci, MI. She was married Jul 4, 1885 to George W. Stuck, of Lyons, OH. To this union two children, one son, Welcome, and one daughter, Goldie, now Mrs. Tracey Mutter, came to gladden the home, the son having passed to his reward May 2, 1906, at Ann Arbor. Mrs. Stuck with her husband took up their residence in the south, later locating in Philadelphia, PA, where she resided until her death; her illness continuing over a period of 10 weeks caused by cancer of the stomach.
She leaves to mourn their loss a loving husband, a daughter, Mrs. Tracy Nutter, and besides many other relatives and friends. Her age at death was 57 years, one month, and 13 days.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Mon, Apr 10 at 10am Rev. E. T. Smith officiating. Interment at Ridge Cemetery.
