Marie G. Stankewitz, 95, a longtime resident of Kalkaska, died Sun, Feb 14, 1999, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Marie was a retired farmer, and was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
She was born in Ft Wayne, IN on Jan 2, 1904, to Casmir and Lottie Wieneski Stankewitz.
Surviving are son Michael (Kitty) Stankewitz of Kalkaska; brother John Stankewitz of Kalkaska; grandchildren Michael, Tamra, and Anthony; and eight great grandchildren.
Sisters Catherine, Cecelia, Josephine, and Caroline preceded her in death.
A funeral Mass was held Feb 17 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church; Father Walter Derylo officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
