Margaret M "Maggie" Cairns, 86, of Traverse City, stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Feb 3, 2020, surrounded by her family at her home.
Maggie was born on Jul 31, 1933 in Detroit, the daughter of Ethel Bertha (Johnson) and Harold Arnell Hoyt. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.
She enjoyed crafting and was an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church where she was cherished by the church family. Her acts of kindness and her devotion as a prayer warrior will always be treasured.
Maggie is survived by her children, Randy Cairns, of Sebring, FL, Joy (Paul) Mann of Nashville, TN, Wayde (Patti) Cairns, of Traverse City; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter in law, Norma Cairns.
A service to celebrate Maggie's life will take place at 11 am Sat, Feb 8, 2020 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 402 W. Ninth St, Traverse City, with Pastor Scott Korljan officiating. Visitation will take place at the church beginning at 10 am. Burial will take place at Peninsula Township Cemetery in the spring of the year.
The family is being cared for by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
