Margaret I. Stickney, 67, of Mancelona died Monday evening, Jan 14, 1991 at her home in Coldsprings Township, Kalkaska County following an extended illness. 

Mrs. Stickney had lived in Pontiac until 1975 when she moved to the area. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed knitting, gardening, and crocheting. 

She was born on April 14, 1923 in Charlevoix to Nathan and Edith (Rockel) Hapner. In Clarkston on Aug 31, 1945, she was united in marriage to Floyd Stickney, and he preceded her in death in 1977. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Fred Stickney in 1988, one sister, Mary Gions in 1985, and a brother, Eli Hapner in 1985. 

She is survived by two sons, James and Michael Stickney, both of Mancelona; two daughters, Mary and Carolyn Stickney, both of Mancelona; 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Bigger of Mancelona.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan 17 at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Pastors Willard Bontrager and Mark McCool officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. 

Memorials may be directed to the Grand Traverse Area Hospice.
