Margaret Deana Dragoo, 80, of Kalkaska died Nov 30, 1993 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Dragoo was born Feb 25, 1913. She was a long-time resident of Kalkaska, having lived here until 1953 when she moved to Bellaire and later to Lansing and Howell before returning to Kalkaska in 1976.
Mrs. Dragoo was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lester Dragoo, in 1986.
She was a charter member of the Kalkaska United Methodist church and was a member of the Antrim Kalkaska Community Mental Health Board. In 1987, at the age of 73, Margaret Dragoo was elected to the Kalkaska Board of Commissioners where she served for three terms and was chair of the Finance Committee.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter: Alan L. and wife Mary Carol Dragoo of Bethesda, MD; Bruce D. and wife Teri Dragoo of Grand Rapids; and Marcia J Dragoo of Kalkaska; five grandchildren; Amy, Kyrie, Deborah, Scott, and Teddy.
Memorial services were held December 4 at Kalkaska United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalkaska United Methodist Church for the purchase of new hymnals or to either Kalkaska or Grand Traverse Hospice.
