Mrs. Madeline C. Bird, 90, a longtime resident of Kalkaska, died Wed, Jan 19, 2000, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Bird resided in Clarkston before moving to Kalkaska. She taught Sunday School for many years, and was affiliated with the Fife Lake Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading.
She was born in Lansing on Sep 30, 1909, the daughter of Albert and Mabel Field Beemer. She married Osmun Bird in Pontiac on Jun 9, 1927. He preceded her in death on Jun 19, 1974.
Surviving is son Kenneth (Jean) Bird of Kalkaska; grandson Duane Bird of Kalkaska; and brother Ray Beemer of Bend Ore.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Beverly and brothers Howard and Donald Beemer.
Funeral services were Jan 22 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Bruce VanDusen officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
