Lyle Erwin Pratt, passed away at his home in West Liberty, surrounded by family at 11:25 am on January 29, 2013.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, George Stuart and Electa Pearl (Fredenberg) Pratt; sisters, Edris Meadley Chapel and Barbara Pratt.

Lyle was married to Ellen Sells from 1945 until her death in 1993. He then married Mary Ann King of West Liberty in 1997. She survives.

Also surviving are children, Ronald (Suzi) Pratt of Grand Rapids, MI, YuVonne Ostrowski and Larry (Debbie) Pratt, both of Muskegon, MI, Debbie (Rex) Heiser of Zeeland, MI, Sherry (Chuck) Krueger of Holland, MI, and Mary Ellen (Jim) Bush of Muskegon, MI. Also, stepchildren, D. Herb (Nancy) King of Rockville, IN, Kathleen (Rick) Martin of Kitchener, Ontario, Marilyn (Doug) Stahl of Lima, Philip (Kendra) King of Strongville, John (Cindy) King of Mechanicsberg, PA, and Sam (Danelle) King of Indianapolis, IN. He has 41 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Lyle was an aircraft mechanic in the US Army Air Corps in WWII, and had worked at Continental Motors for 43 years, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of 1st Church of the Nazarene in Muskegon, MI, had attended Bethel Mennonite Church in West Liberty, and Sunny Breeze Christian Fellowship in Arcadia, FL. Lyle traveled America extensively, loving teaching Sunday School, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Services will be Mon, February 4 at 11am at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., Norton Shores, MI. He will be laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Muskegon, MI.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
