Lois Joan Larabee, 72, died Sunday, June 17, 1990, at Muskegon General Hospital. She had been a resident of Muskegon for the past 30 years and a former resident of Kalkaska.
Mrs. Larabee was born Sept. 4, 1917, in L'Anse in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the daughter of Hubert and Ruby (Riley) Darke. She was married 53 years ago in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Harry Melvin Larabee, who survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by six daughters: Mrs. Edward (Carol Sue) Frens of Fremont, Patsy Rosema, Mrs. James (Pearl) Robertson, Lois Dorman, Mrs. Greg (Polly) Martin, all of Muskegon and Susan Whitmer of Springlake, NC; two brothers, William and Don F. Darke of Muskegon and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvai Sachteleben of Muskegon and Mrs. Lyle (Joyce) Kniss of Bellaire; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
